Hey there everyone.  Well, it was a NON STOP day today, and even though we have lots of pictures, it is too late to put anything up.  We are hitting the beds, and hit the road first thing in the morning.  I'll do a post early next week recapping the trip, and with some more photos from the ranch.  For now, I'll just say that it has been a wonderful trip, and we have had the joy of knowing that God has used us, and the resources that you have helped to provide.

Ok... Today we went to the 'dump village', a small shantytown of people who work in the Tijuana landfill scavenging for recyclable items they can sell.  We fed lunch to some of the community, distributed bags of water and fruit through the village, and built a small house.  This shelter will house a family of a mom and SIX children.  It is 8x12'.  Compared to other shelters in this village, it is a huge blessing.  The conditions in this place are surreal- like something from a post-apocalyptic movie.  But even here, the message and hope of Jesus Christ is making a difference and changing lives.  Here are some images...

Today we did two projects.  First, our ladies went to the downtown shelter, where they helped prepare and serve a meal for the womens group.  They also hit the local supermarket where they purchased new bathroom supplies for the girls at the House of Grace (the orphanage).  Then, they joined the guys, who had been at the House of Grace already working.  We spent the day digging foundation trenches for a two story boys dormitory that will start to be built across the coming months.  Our teams have done a LOT of work at the House of Grace, and it is wonderful to see this powerful minsitry continuing to strengthen and grow.  We wrapped up the day by hitting the "Thrifty" ice cream shop just down the street from the ministry house.  Here are some pics...

This is the day we crossed into TJ.  After unloading all our gear at the ministry house, we went into the city center to help prepare and serve the dinner at the shelter. We fed around 150 or more men.  Ethan was conscripted to share a word from Scripture, of course with an interpreter.  An amazing first day!  Here are some pics...
